ブルームバーグの記事にスターウッドに触れたものがありました。

僕はホテル経営のことはよく分かりませんが、何でも投資家たちはスターウッドの現状に満足していないようなのです。
要は収益が少な過ぎると・・・。
しかもスターウッドは高級ホテルが中心で、その分野に今後はないというのが投資家たちの考え。
これから発展の余地がある低価格ホテルの獲得を狙うべきだというのです。
そこで出ているのが「ウィンダム・ワールドワイド・グループ」に身売りするか、「インターコンチネンタル・ホテルズ・グループ」と合併するという考えなんだそうです（selling to Wyndham Worldwide Corp. or structuring a tax inversion with InterContinental Hotels Group Plc）。
本当？？って話というか噂なんですが、識者は
「There were some rumors last year that IHG would have been on sale, but that didn’t materialize. This Bloomberg article itself doesn’t mean anything, but the street is talking and something may happen. I would rather see IHG and Starwood merge than with Wyndham. Only time will tell.」

「something may happen」ですかぁ、この噂は今後も興味深く見ていくことにしましょう。
