マイ・ファースト・スペイン　（２７）　「マンダリンオリエンタル・バロセロナ」の部屋紹介

「マンダリンオリエンタル・バルセロナ」の親切な女性レセプショニストに案内されて、いよいよ部屋に到着です。
ドアが開きます。
すぐに眼に入るのが、入り口すぐ左にあるこのミニ・バーのコーナー。
白を基調にすごく上品でエレガントな設え、すらっと伸びた蘭の花がアクセントになって・・・これは、もうこの瞬間から「良い部屋」の予感です。
眼を左から右に移していきます。
決して広くはありませんが（４０平米弱）、隅から隅まで妥協を許さないほど計算され尽くした空間が広がっています。
窓の大きさ、テラスの存在、光の入り具合・・・実にbright and airyな雰囲気に満ち溢れています。
床のウッド部分もラグを敷いてある部分も、清掃状態は最高のようです。
坐り心地の良いソファ、たっぷりのクッション。
高級ホテルでも坐り心地の良いソファばかりではありませんからね。
周囲のカラー・スキームもライティングもかなりなもの。
カーテンはダブル、電動ではありませんでした。
テーブルは小さめのスタイリッシュなもの。
その上に乗りきれないほどのウェルカム・アメニティが・・・。
で、この生ハムとガーリックブレッドの何と美味しいこと！
これは本当に絶品でした。
「ボケリア市場」で買ったパック詰めのハモンセラーノの１００倍は美味しかった・・・しっとりした食感、抜群の脂身、適度な塩味、それに何より鼻をくすぐる何とも言えない良い香り・・・これこそが僕の求めるスペインの生ハムです。
食べ始めたら止まりません。
かなりな量があります。
それを一気に・・・たぶん今日はランチは不要です（笑）。
オレンジも何気ないようで、実にみずみずしく美味しいもの。
厳選された果物って感じです。
でも箱入りのチョコレートは・・・フツー（笑）。
今度はソファに座って目を左から右に・・・。
「バング＆オルフセン」のテレビ（３２インチ）は首を振り、ソファからもベッドからも見られます。
「マンダリンオリエンタル」だからでしょうがタイのチャンネルまでありましたが、ＮＨＫが映りません。
これはホテル側に要望として、コメントを残しておきました。
ベッドはかなり良いベッド、リネン類は最高品質の実に肌触りの良いものでした。
そしてこれは僕が世界中のホテルで褒めまくっている「ＰＬＯＨ」製のもの。
北京の「アマン」でも、バリの「セントレジス」でも、チェンマイの「チェディ」でも・・・この一年で一体何回ここの製品に出会ったことでしょう。
日本のホテル・ファンでこのシンガポ－ルのブランドに注目している人が少ないのは、本当に不思議です。

ライティングは凝っていますが、スイッチ類はそう複雑ではありません。
良い感じですね、これが夜になるとまた雰囲気が結構変わるんですよ。
